Due to our drought conditions here in Texas, we are struggling to find good quality (and affordable) hay for our animals, and because we don\'t have any idea how much longer this stressful situation will continue, we have made an extremely difficult (and tearful) decision to reduce the size of our herd.
In addition to champion show animals, we have an outstanding breeding herd that we\'ve been putting together for ten years! Due to the hay situation, we haven\'t been doing much breeding, but the few babies that we had last spring and fall were outstanding, and we had planned to keep more of them than usual to start in the show ring. Unfortunately, we will now have to change our plans and offer those for sale also.
The out-of-state hay suppliers are killing us with their prices! Last year, hay grown here in Texas was selling for $50 - 75/roll and $5.50 - 7.00/bale; in today\'s world with the drought conditions, we are paying anywhere from $10.00 up per bale and $125 - 175/roll with no relief in sight!

Two beautiful registered jennets in search of a new home. Flight of Fancy Aria is 4 1/2 years old, red, and 32 1/4" tall. Her sire is LN Sonfire (deceased) and her dam is Satroma Ranch Kitty Hawk. Aria was originally going to be retained by Flight of Fancy for their breeding program. She has one of the nicest heads you will find on a jennet. She would be a wonderful asset to anyone's breeding program.
KKR Rumor Has It is 2 1/2 years old, black, and 34 1/2" tall. She was bred by K & K Ranch in Brownsboro, TX. Her sire is Sunset Acres Rowdy Yates and her dam is Heiken's Ark Lucia. Although she is a bit taller, she would still be a fine breeding prospect. She would also make a wonderful pet and/or companion. Both jennets are easy to work around and are also good for the farrier and vet. I would love for them to be sold together as that is how they are priced but would consider selling them individually. In the past few days the Gotdonkeys site has been used as a forum regarding flooding the market with donkeys and most of the perspective has been negative. I see the Mc Roberts sale as a real opportunity to upgrade a breeder\'s herd. When Sharon Cooke selected me to continue the legacy with her herd I got to be the lucky one person to have access to this outstanding herd, beyond the foals I now produce for sale. Jerry McRoberts didn\'t have the opportunity to make a choice like that, which means, in my opinion, that we all are fortunate to be in a position to bring some of his fine donkeys into our own herds. Jerry\'s skill and passion helped him create some of the most important bloodlines around. The market is flooded with mid to lower quality donkeys, in my opinion, and in my experience there is still a market for high quality donkeys. There\'s my soapbox!

Brown and white spotted jenny DOB April 1, 2006, she is 33.5", and has been exposed to Geronimo for a Spring 2012 foal. Her registered name is CAF Fancy Art. I believe I also have her ACOSA papers.
Black NLP jenny DOB June 20, 2002. Her registered name is Hop N Hoofs Shadow Crisy out of Copperas Creek's Shadow, - Dark Brown 34" and sired by Sutherlin's Little Spit Fire, - Dark Gray/Dun 32.5"
Wee Ones Farm Geronimo is a black, brown, and white tyger spotted jack standing 34" tall. He is a son of Pandy's Kolleman who is an ACOSA grand champion as well as an ACOSA multi grand champion producer. Geronimo has been shown a little and I do have his ribbons. He is very friendly and also walks very well on a lead. Also registered with ACOSA.
They are all microchipped, have their hooves trimmed regularly, and are up to date on deworming, shots, and I can have coggins and health certificates pulled if needed. | Sacrifice offer on three jennets that would fit well into a sorrel breeding program. "758's Miranda" is a 6 year old sorrel. Very pretty, with a nice performance donkey build, she had her first foal this past fall. Miranda is a bit on the taller side (34 1/2") but put together nice and with some smaller donkeys in her pedigree she should produce smaller foals if breed to a small jack. Her fall foal "Bliss" is for sale as well, bright red color and correct. Sire is Hickory Hills Rusty Nail, Multiple Championship & Reserve winner and Best of Breed. The third jennet is "Caper" a small (32 1/2) brown jennet with a red sire. Will be 3yrs old in May. Very correct with an excellent pedigree including The Fireman, My World Buster. Sacrifice offer of $3500 for all three. This is less than $1200 each. I would never offer them this low if I did not need to make room. More info and pics on website.
