We have a large herd of ADMS registered donkeys. This large herd numbers about
400. We love all the donkeys and have all colors and sizes. Our breeding jacks
range in size from 27" to 31 5/8". We use 14 herdsires in gray, dark brown,
red, spotted and black. Our large number of jennets complement our jacks. We
produce about 100 foals a year so have a large variety to sell. Please check
with us whether you want a pet, a very nice breeder or a show donkey. We always

Ponderosa Donkey Farm has been raising miniature donkeys for several years which
has allowed us to build our herd with champion, show quality, donkeys. We raise
Black, Red, Spotted and Dark Brown. All of our donkeys are handled daily and

Herdsire:
We are very excited to have added HHAA Mojave as one of our herd sires in
2009. Mojave is Black 32" and is very correct in every way. Mojave was
selected to be on the Asset magazine cover in the Summer 2006 edition. We also
just acquired My World Santana, Dark Red 31". Santana is a sire that
will fit into our breeding program that will produce some great donkeys. We are
very excited to have both of these Herd Sires on our Farm.

Raising quality registered miniature donkeys is a passion for us... they are our
'kids'. Anyone who's been around miniature donkeys, knows how sweet and loveable

We have a good number of donkeys available for sale. Due to health issues (our
health, not the donkeys) we have decided to cut back on our herd... therefore we
are offering a good selection of jennies, jacks and geldings at reasonable
prices. If you do not see what you're looking for, just ask, since we often have
others available that are not listed. Quantity discounts given... the more you
buy, the better the savings!

We have a variety of registered miniature donkeys. We had 13 babies born this
year. Our sizes range from 30 1/2 inch Jennies to one beautiful black Jenny that
is 36". Babies come in all colors. We have a large group of spots, chocolates
and sorrels. Our Herd Sire is a roan with a blaze. He is 31 1/2" tall. (8/10)
Herdsire:
We currently have one herdsire. Heiken's Ark Maguire LD. We
purchased him as a two year old. He is classified as a Brown Roan. His colors
are never ending and he has thrown many colors into our herd. He also has a
blaze. Height= 31"
Directions:
We live 5 miles north of Burlington, Iowa on Hwy. 61. Our emergency address is
on the highway.(14528). Coming from Burlington, there is a mile marker 47 on the
right side of the highway. Our lane is directly north of this mile marker. Turn
to the east down a lane and turn again to the north. Follow back to the red barn
and white house. Calling first would be helpful.
Currently for sale:
We currently have several yearling jacks and 2 jacks that are 2 year olds for
sale. Our smallest jack is predominately white with a few red and grey spots. He
is very small and measures 26 3/4". Another jack for sale is also a spot and is
28"tall. We have beautiful one and two year old jennets for sale. Babies may be
reserved after weened.
