Welcome!! ASSissi Sunset Acres is all about love. Love for the minis, the land
and all that surrounds us. St. Francis of Assissi’s love for all creatures large
and small is our cornerstone. Our love for creatures goes beyond miniature
donkeys as you will see on our farm page. Three Golden Retrievers, a cat, birds,
fish, chickens and an occasional stray call ASSissi Sunset Acres home. And that
is what we are striving for, a good safe and secure home for our animals.
Spectacular sunsets are a daily event and became a part of our farm name. It’s
the time we take to count our blessings. Even though we have included photos of
just some of our sunsets, a photo just doesn’t do them justice. But, we try to
make it a daily part of our lives to catch each sunset.
So how did we get here in the beginning? Well, a good friend stopped by with two
miniature donkeys that he wanted me to see. Well, my friend left with an empty
trailer! I just had to have them. Never before did I have the opportunity to
experience such loving little creatures! They are so quiet and loving (except
for feeding time when the jennets just forget that they are ladies!) I was
amazed at their ability to show love for their little ones!
Herdsires:
Johnson's Silver Ridge Vanilla Ice DOB 13 May 2002 - 33 1/2" -
Frosted spotted white. Dark eyes. White ears. Registration #: 34858, Pedigree:

Vanilla Ice is our latest addition. We are very excited about having Ice here.
His confirmation is very sound and with Valintino 50 in his background, along
with brown spotted and solid blacks we expect some spectacular babies from him.
He is so friendly and insists that he gets his attention before you go into the
field with the jennets. If you don’t he’ll bray until he gets his just
attention. (9/08)
Jasper is our first “manly man” here on the farm. He has given us so many
beautiful babies! Both Ace and Tardy are his young sons and Opal is his 3 year
old daughter. Both have his terrific personality. Jasper is easy to work with
and is a great herd sire. He is available for stud and is available for sale.

We are a 30 Acre farm located in Beautiful North East Tennessee. Buck-N-Ears
Ranch' main goal is to produce quality, healthy, happy donkeys of any color and
price range. We worm our donkeys every 3 months, vaccinate according to
veterinary recommendations, and our donkeys' feet are trimmed by a local farrier
every three to four months. We raise miniatures that are all registered with the
American Donkey and Mule Society (ADMS). All of our small donkeys are imprinted
at birth and get hugs every day. They each have different personalities but all
of them love human contact and would make a great small pet. (2/09)

Although we no longer sell donkeys, our work with registered miniature donkeys
began over 33 years ago. The national registry (MDR) was with the original
registry founder, Bea Langfeld.
The National Miniature Donkey Association (NMDA) had not even been thought of
and the American Donkey and Mule Society (ADMS) was registering miniature
donkeys at around #2000 and the MDR (Miniature Donkey Registry) was not yet
under the ADMS. So having a wonderful background of knowing the early pioneers
and being also in that league, we were able to continue in the spirit and
practice then laid down. Our donkeys were sold all over the United States with
papers, shots, wormings, hoof trims all recorded long before this became a
requirement.
Literally hundreds of Grace Acres donkeys are on the books and their off-spring
now winning prizes on a continual basis. My 100+page donkey care manual,"Raising
Miniature Donkeys For Fun and Profit" ($35.95 post paid) has helped people in
this endeavor for almost 20 years. Also available are donkey halters and leads,
and donkey collars.
A free advice Donkey-Help line (423)780-9101 is available to all. Ask for Lois

Itty Bitty Acres strongly believes in a well-grounded breeding program,
producing top-quality miniature donkeys and horses.
Our care-program includes deworming every eight weeks, hoofs trimmed on a
regular basis by a licensed farrier, Scheduled vaccinations and check-ups from
the Doc. Our Miniatures all have proper shelter and pastures to graze and play
in. Every donkey & horse is an individual with a name, not a number, and is
treated as part of the family. All of Gods creatures are loved and hugged on a
daily basis.
We strongly believe in gelding jacks and only the very best will go on to have a
breeding career. Geldings make the better pets. They are easy to handle and
train. This also applies to our Stallions.
We don't forget our customers when their check goes into the bank. We offer
support and recommendations to the best of our ability, on any problems or
questions that might arise.
We care about our Miniatures and want their new home to be a place of proper
safe care, and where they will be loved as much as they are here at Itty Bitty
Acres. We do this by educating customers, and by never selling a single donkey
without proper companion arrangements made before he arrives in his new home,
and just "being there" when needed.
Come and visit us at Itty Bitty Acres. We think you will be touched by what you
see. Maybe you'll find the perfect donkey or horse for you! (2/09)
