Celebrating over 21 years of donkey breeding!
Our vision is to breed miniature donkeys with correct conformation first through a high pedigree. Genetics are carefully studied, and breeding plans are decided upon with several factors in mind. Due to our extreme mountain climate, I have moved our breeding program into a “woolly” direction. We have early falls, harsh winters, and late springs here. The long-coated donkeys get extra protection from the elements. We will continue our red & black color breeding program. Copper Star Farm has many unique donkeys, and we are continuing the legacy of the many farms that came before us. WE breed all sizes of miniature donkeys from micro/mini/small-large standard.
ALL donkeys are micro-chipped and are registered with ADMS/ACOSA, Canadian, or the Standard Donkey Registry (6/27)
About Us
KZ Zamboni will be joining Top Hat's Paddington "ACE" as one of our woolly herd sires.
Zamboni is a cool mix of brown/grey dun with no light points, which makes him look very striking. He will start his breeding career soon.
Ace is just that... an ACE since day 1. B&W Spotted / Woolly. He is built like a tank and throws babies with color and lots of hair! Ace is a traditional style 34" conformation dream. He is a tribute to the larger woolly donkeys that started the trend years ago.
BLACK Roan HERD SIRE
Copper Star Farm’s Spartan Warrior has foals all up and down the East Coast! He has proven himself time and time again. Beautiful foals of all colors, spots, & fully frosted roaning.. He also throws the coveted blue eye dilute and forehead stars.
MICRO WOOLLY SPOTTED HERD SIRES
Copper Star Farm's $20Andrew Jackson, micro at 27.5" carries the woolly genetics from Shivago and GP Peanut. He is a big on attitude and small in stature.
Copper Star Artistic Savant will be following in his sires footsteps as a future jack, measuring in at 27 1/4" at a year and full of hair!
DARK RED HERD SIRE
We are currently standing Copper Star Stradavarius Violin "VITO" as our dark red, 29" stud. Humor and tenacity are his best personality traits!
We would be happy to work with breeders outside of the USA. Currently, we have sold to England, France and Canada!
