Country Music's Rusty Weir is a 2006 beautiful sorrel jack by CM George Jones. He has done extremely well in the show arena, winning numerous championships at large shows such as The Great Celebration and the Tennessee State Fair. He has the distinction of placing in the top three in his halter class at the last nine Great Celebration shows in Shelbyville, Tennessee, including being named Reserve National Champion Jack at the 2017 NMDA National Show at age 11! Rusty has sired three foals, all of which have done very well in the show arena, including Farmstead's Admiral Farragut, who as a yearling gelding achieved first place in all five shows in which he was shown including The Great Celebration, as well as the Tennessee State Fair where he stood as Grand Champion Gelding as a yearling.
WLDF Tin Roof Sunday is our 2007 uniquely marked spotted jack by Short ASSets Starfire. Tin Roof has a tremendous show record, including being named ACOSA National Champion Jack in four separate years--more than any spotted jack has ever achieved! Besides being a beautiful animal, he has sired some outstanding foals, including Farmstead's Molly O'Day, our beautifully marked spotted jennet who has achieved three ACOSA National Champion Jennet titles, as well as standing Grand Champion at both The Great Celebration and the Tennessee State Fair.
Appalachian Farmstead is located in beautiful Northeast Tennessee on the edge of the Appalachian Mountains. Our ranch focuses on the raising and showing of champion halter Mediterranean Miniature Donkeys and is home to numerous NMDA, ADMS, and ACOSA National Champions in halter. Although our herd is small, it is very select, and we pride ourselves on producing a few outstanding foals each year which are available for sale to those discriminating purchasers who are looking for individuals that will show well in the arena. 9/18
