About Us

Timber Lane Acres has raised quality Registered Miniature Donkeys since 2002. We have moved from Wisconsin to Illinois and are located in North Western Illinois,  just north of the Quad Cities.

Our breeding stock hails Champion bloodlines that we are very proud of. We offer many colors, including black and brown but our favorites are dark spots and also have an occasional sorrel and gray. Most important, our minis love people and are handled and loved every day.  We have select stock available for breeding, show and adorable loving pets. We will not allow one donkey to leave for a new home without making sure it has a buddy waiting for him or they only leave in pairs. Donkeys are very social and can get lonely without a compatible buddy. We will not wean foals until age 5 to 6 months old. Foals learn everything from their mother, how to be a donkey, what to eat, how to act and play. This is very important as they grow and mature.
